As its name suggests, the vines of this estate are located at the top of the gravelly croup of Arsac, on the heights of a plateau which is the highest point of the Margaux appellation. Among the vines, whose average age is around 35 years, there are vines dating from the 60s. The grape varieties present at Château Du Tertre are 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, 35% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc and at 5% the Petit Verdot.
